  1. the film is centered around a study of how men use the domestic kitchen space in Norway. The action is mainly set in one of the men's kitchen. The man knows he's being watched (his movents in the kitchen are being mapped) and so he doesn't do things like cook, because he doesn't like being watched! It's very funny. Also he drills a hole in the cieling, so he can watch the man whose supposed to be watching him!!

Here's what they say online about the film....
Fifties Norway. A Swedish scientist (Tomas Norström) is dispatched to study the kitchen routines of a farmer (Joachim Calmeyer). Fraternisation is forbidden but, over time, the two men develop a life-changing relationship...

It may sound as boring as watching water boil, but Kitchen Stories is a fable about our need to connect, Norwegian writer/director Bent Hamer tracing how emotions get in the way of research.
